Although many students manage to develop the necessary competencies in their training process that favor the achievement of their academic objectives, other young people present difficulties that are only registered in indicators of high academic dropout. In the latter situation, students generally experience a high-stress load during their training process.

The direct and indirect influence exerted by the different emotional states on a student is presented in (EI) Emotional Intelligence, at higher EI levels, better mental health causing better rehabilitation of affective states, manifesting in (lower levels of anxiety, lower tendency to depression, greater positive thoughts, etc.), on the contrary to lower levels of IE, greater tendency to depressive symptomatology, bringing with it negative thoughts, less repair of emotions, which decisively influence mental health and adequate psychological balance that finally intervenes in the academic performance of the person.
